Alexis is the founder of a new dog grooming and daycare service called Camp Canine, which is scheduled to open at 1056 Eglinton Avenue this Spring.
The pandemic provided many of us time to re-evaluate priorities. For Alexis, this time allowed her to follow her passion. During the pandemic, she was hired at a dog daycare in Scarborough, as their Pet Parent Relationship Manager, and suddenly everything seemed to click!
“I have always loved dogs, and in fact, I have three at home,” says Alexis.
Alexis realized the value and importance of first establishing a connection with pup parents, in order to provide the best possible care for their pets.
To Alexis, dog daycare is not a one-size-fits-all service. It’s about personalized care that puts the health and safety of dogs first. And just like that, Camp Canine was born.
Alexis has taken multiple courses and is certified in Canine First Aid, Canine Attendant Training, dog social behaviour as per the IAABC and Canine Group Play Assessment Procedures.
“I am so excited to bring Camp Canine into the Upper Village community and to meet all of your beautiful dogs. We are here to work with you and your dog to guarantee the highest level of care and safety,” she says.
